Partner and Co-Chair of the Securities Enforcement Defense practice Danette Edwards has been tapped to serve on the 2024 Advisory Board of Securities Docket. Securities Docket hosts several preeminent securities enforcement conferences around the country, bringing together current and former senior Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Department of Justice (DOJ) officials, plus other leading securities enforcement and white-collar attorneys. Securities Docket also publishes the Daily Update from Securities Docket, a targeted newsletter read by thousands of practicing lawyers, in-house counsel, accountants, consultants, regulators, compliance professionals, institutional investors, and executives seeking timely updates concerning SEC enforcement, securities class actions and white-collar matters.

Danette's practice at Katten includes advising clients involved in SEC Enforcement Division investigations and litigation, with a related focus on internal, special committee and non-SEC government and regulatory investigations; securities class action defense; and complex economic litigation.

Before joining Katten in 2022, Danette served as Senior Counsel in the SEC's Enforcement Division. For more than a decade, Danette spearheaded many of the SEC's enforcement efforts, investigating and litigating complex cases involving violations of antifraud and other securities laws. The Director of the SEC's Enforcement Division recognized her work with multiple awards.
